Although Angela worked in the photography industry for many years her early expertise was mainly in retouching negatives and hand colouring black and white prints. Then in the 1970s Angela took up the study of photography. She took numerous photography courses at the Banff School of Fine Arts and in 1980 she obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Photographic Arts from Ryerson. Her education, natural eye for lighting and composition and insistence on perfection combined to make Angela an accomplished photographer in her own right.
